Dr. Randy L. Wong

Optometric Physician

Dr. Randy Wong brings together clinical excellence, advanced training, and a genuinely thoughtful approach to eye care. Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, his early passion for science and vision led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology & Genetics at the University of British Columbia. During his studies, he completed a research thesis on the retinal pigment epithelium at the Vancouver Eyecare Center, gaining early insight into the complexities of ocular health.

Dr. Wong earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with honors in 2005. His training included extensive clinical rotations in ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, binocular vision, and low vision care. He further refined his medical expertise through externships at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Sacramento, CA, and the American Lake Veterans Affairs Hospital in Tacoma, WA.

At Visionaire Eyecare, Dr. Wong practices full-scope medical optometry with special interests in dry eye management, glaucoma care, and myopia control. He is highly experienced in fitting specialty contact lenses, including CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy), and is passionate about helping patients achieve clearer, more comfortable vision through personalized treatment plans. A strong advocate for patient education, Dr. Wong believes informed patients are empowered to make the best decisions for their long-term eye health.

Dr. Wong is a proud member of the Professional Eyecare Associates of America and is committed to staying at the forefront of modern optometric care. He welcomes the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with his patients and considers it a privilege to care for their vision.

Outside the office, Dr. Wong lives in the Seattle–Northgate community with his family. When he’s not caring for patients, you’ll likely find him playing badminton or volleyball, enjoying classic video games, or spending time being silly with his children. He is also a devoted Vancouver Canucks fan, patiently waiting for their first Stanley Cup win.
