Kevin Chan, LDO, ABO, Optician
Kevin was born in Hong Kong and moved to New York City with his family in 1988. Growing up in the busy, fast-paced environment of New York led him to several different jobs where he found a passion for opticianry working in an optical store. He graduated at the top of his class from the New York Technical College in 1999 and received his New York license in 2000. He then went on to gain experience working in different franchise and private practices before joining Visionaire Eyecare in 2005.
Kevin has over 18 years of experience in this industry so he is quite an expert when it comes to helping you choose the perfect frame and lens to complement and enhance your style and look. He is highly skilled in edging, fabricating, and finishing complex prescription lenses so you can trust him to handle the most difficult of cases. It is his desire to help you capture life through crystal clear lenses.
When he has time to relax, Kevin enjoys honing his culinary skills and cooking for his friends. Many of them have been pleasantly surprised how good of a cook he is that they say he should have pursued a career as a chef. He enjoys experiencing nature and the outdoors which led him to his love of fishing.
Kevin is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
